Asbestos
SCA carries out sampling and quantification activities of Asbestos and FAV (Artificial Glass Fibres) both on compact matrices and as aero-disperse fibres. The instrumentation and personnel available allow the analysis of a large number of samples per day and the return of analytical data within a few hours of sampling.
The laboratory is qualified by the Ministry of Health to carry out analytical activities related to the above mentioned techniques and has accreditation according to 17025:2005 by ACCREDIA with n. 0629.
The laboratory dedicated to asbestos research and FAV has the following instrumentation:
- SEM with EDS (Electronic Scanning Microscopy) microprobe;
- MOCF (Optical Phase Contrast Microscopy);
- FT-IR (Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy).
