Microbiological and nutritional controls
SCA performs a wide range of microbiological determinations on food for human consumption, feed, raw materials, production intermediates and environmental buffers.
The main services consist of:
- search for bacteria indicating contamination (Total Microbial Charge, Coliforms, Escherichia Coli, etc.) and pathogenic microorganisms (Salmonella, Listeria, Campylobacter, etc.);
- assistance in the interpretation of analytical results with reference to current legislation;
- elaboration of nutritional labels through the determination of fat, protein, carbohydrates, fibre, ash, moisture, etc;
- support for the development of analytical plans and advice on labelling.
