Olfactory harassment is an increasingly important environmental issue. They are often associated with the presence of waste, landfills, production facilities and pollutants.
SCA has a Dynamic Olfactometry laboratory for the determination of the odour concentration according to UNI EN 13725.
The activities in this regard consist of:

• sampling of any kind of odour source (ambient air, conveyed emissions, biofilters, heaps of material, treatment tanks);
• evaluation of the odour concentration by means of olfactometric analysis according to UNI EN 13725;
• characterization analysis in GC-MS of emissions and immissions, by identification and quantification of Volatile Organic Compounds.
