AUA, AIA obligations for companies

AUA and AIAThe acronyms are environmental authorisations, which are required from organisations that have evidence of environmental impacts, such as noise, water discharges, atmospheric emissions and others. The acronyms define two different types of authorisation:

AUASingle Environmental Authorisation, Presidential Decree 59/2013, with municipal competence, which includes a set of various environmental authorisations in a single measure;

AIA: Integrated Environmental Authorisation, Legislative Decree 46/2014, with regional or ministerial competence, which defines the authorisation following a comprehensive assessment of the environmental impacts of an organisation.

There are only a few companies that are excluded from these environmental obligations.
