From 05 July 2018 the new definition of the hazard characteristic HP14 "Ecotoxic" laid down in Council Regulation 2017/997/EU applies.
The measure in question, published in the OJEU of 14 June 2017, replaces the definition HP 14 in Annex III (waste hazard characteristics) to Directive 2008/98/EC.
Regulation 2017/997/Ce enters into force on 4 July 2017 but will only be applicable, in order to give companies and competent authorities sufficient time to adapt to the new requirements, from 5 July 2018.
